This healthy taco skillet is an easy one-pan meal that comes together quickly while being paleo and whole 30!
What you’ll love about this recipe is everything comes together in one pan! Which means less cleanup. You can also add in any veggies you wanted too, like zucchini or squash. I also love serving this on a bed of arugula or butter lettuce to get more greens in.
I like to top it with either green goddess dressing, you can find the recipe here, or some fresh avocado and cilantro. It adds a nice dose of freshness to the dish. You could also squeeze some lime juice on top too!
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 250g ground turkey
- 2 cups broccoli or cauliflower rice
- 2 tsp taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce (more if desired)
- 2 tbsp green goddess dressing
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 tbsp cilantro
Heat a pan to medium heat with the avocado oil and garlic, saute until fragrant.
Add in onion and cook until they are translucent.
Add in ground turkey and taco seasoning, cooking until meat is no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes.
Add in veggie rice and stir until cooked through.
Add in tomato sauce and heat through.
Finish off with green goddess dressing or avocado and fresh cilantro if desired.
