Energy bites are the perfect snack and I am showing you 3 different recipes! Lemon, Chocolate Espresso and Cinnamon Tahini.
What is great about these energy bites is that they are the perfect blend of healthy fats, protein and fiber. All of which help to make a satisfying and filling snack that doesn’t wreak havoc on your blood sugar. Plus, they taste delicious!
You can bring them to school or to work, keep one in your purse, or even have one as a pre workout. I store them in the fridge, but if you aren’t going to be eating them all within a week store them in the freezer.
3 Energy Bites
Ingredients
Lemon
3 tbsp almond flour
2 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp honey
2 tbsp nut butter
Chocolate Espresso Energy Bites
1/4 cup cacao
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp nut butter
1/2 tsp coffee extract (or vanilla)
1 tsp ground espresso (or strong coffee)
Cinnamon Tahini
1/3 cup tahini
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
For each of the energy bites simply combine the ingredients for the flavour in a bowl and stir until combined.
Using a large spoon, spoon out some of the mixture and roll into a ball shape.
Each recipe makes 6 balls.
